What’s a barbecue without a great barbecue sauce? Not much, that’s right. I wanted to give you some great recipes for barbecue sauce so here are 2 recipes you can try.
Apple Butter Barbecue Sauce
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup apple butter
- 1 tbsp Picka-Peppa sauce or Worcestershire sauce
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring it just to boiling. Brush the sauce on the hamburgers about 10 minutes before they’re done. Heat any sauce that remains just until it bubbles and serves it with the burgers.
Argentine Barbecue Dressing
- 1 cup chopped Italian parsley
- 1/2 cup olive or cornflower oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- salt, chopped garlic, oregano and hot red pepper flakes to taste
Mix all ingredients together and put them in the refrigerator to marinate for at least a day. If you like the taste, you may add thyme and rosemary, but do it in very small amounts. Add the garlic and hot red pepper, but don’t add too much.
